Secretary of State for Transport, Sir George Young, today confirmed
that the sale of the last of the three passenger rolling stock
leasing companies had been completed. Eversholt Leasing has been
sold to the Eversholt management and a consortium of institutional
investors led by Candover Partners Limited.
NOTE TO EDITORS
1.Contracts for the sale of the three companies - Porterbrook, Angel
and Eversholt were announced on 9th November 1995 (see Department of
Transport press notice 360/1995 for details).
