The Secretary of State for Transport has announced the appointment of
Dr Robin Jeffrey as a part-time non-executive member of the London
Transport Board with effect from 1 October 1996. The appointment is
for a period of 3 years.
NOTE FOR EDITORS
Dr Robin Jeffrey (56) is currently Chairman and Chief Executive of
Scottish Nuclear Limited and Deputy Chairman of British Energy Plc.
Before joining Scottish Nuclear Limited in 1992, he held various
management and senior management posts at SSEB (now Scottish Power).
Dr Jeffrey is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. He is
also a Council Member of the World Energy Council, a Board Member of
the British Nuclear Industry Forum and a Council Member of the CBI
(Scotland) and a Visiting Professor of the University of Strathclyde.
