Philip Berridge (38) has been appointed Railtrack's new Group Controller, Finance.
Effective from November 4 1996, he joins from RR Donnelley-Europe, where he was Vice President and Financial Director having worked previously with Arthur Andersen, Northern Foods and ATL (Holdings) Ltd. He is a Chartered Accountant.
Announcing the move, Norman Broadhurst, Director Finance said he was delighted that Philip had accepted this key position which further strengthens Railtrack's financial team.
Railtrack's main costs are incurred in maintaining and renewing its infrastructure, including track and stations. Other operating costs include the provision of signalling on the railway network.
