Railtrack is spending £1.2 million refurbishing Langley station as part of its £1 billion station regeneration programme.
The work started on 4 August and will last for approximately 40 weeks. The work will include painting the outside and inside of the station buildings and repairing the canopy roofs over the platforms as well as platform resurfacing and work to the existing footbridge. The work is being managed by Lovell Construction.
Railtrack Great Western Director, Andy Hancock, said, "We are working with the train operators to improve all the stations across the country. This station is just part of our enormous investment programme.
"The travelling public who use these stations should be able to feel they are part of a caring, clean, environmentally friendly organisation. The station should have the facilities to enhance the start and finish of their journeys."
