Archie Norman to Resign as Non-Executive Director
Railtrack Chairman Sir Philip Beck today paid tribute to Archie Norman who today announced he was stepping down as a non executive director of Railtrack Group plc with immediate effect.
Sir Philip said: 'I thank him for the enormous contribution he has made to the rail industry during his eight years with British Rail and Railtrack. I understand his reasons for leaving and shall certainly miss the valuable knowledge and business acumen he brought to the board'.
'All of us at Railtrack wish him what I am sure will be a successful future.'
