Passengers need certainty about return to normal services - ATOC _______________________________________________________________

type Press release
The Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC) supports the action by the Rail Regulator to require Railtrack to return the rail network to normal by May 21.
Director General, George Muir said: "We need to get more certainty into the recovery process. That is the most important issue for passengers and the Regulator's action today will help to achieve that.
Train operators and Railtrack have been working together closer than ever before, with the shared objective of getting back to normal operations as quickly as possible. Major engineering work planned for the Easter period will allow more progress to be made.
That, coupled with the Regulator's enforcement action, should mean that in all but a few cases, the network will return to pre-Hatfield service by May 21."
