CONNEX Transport UK Ltd has reorganised and strengthened its UK franchise bid development team with the return to London of Corporate Development Director Geoff Harrison-Mee from his Paris based office.
In his leading role in UK franchise bidding and development, Geoff will be assisted by Gary Cooper, promoted from Engineering and Planning Director to the companys Major Projects and Development Director.
Newly appointed from within the company are team members Bernard Pratt, Business Development Manager, Howard Read, Service Development Manager, and Steve White, Rolling Stock Development Manager .They will work with Geoff and Gary on Connexs current bidding for the TransPennine, Wessex and Wales and the Borders franchises as well as on negotiations for possible extension of the companys South Eastern franchise.
The new team will also spearhead and target Connex participation in further development opportunities, principally within the English speaking world.
Geoff Harrison-Mee said: We have already been short listed for the innovative and exciting TransPennine franchise, and look forward to resubmitting our bid in accordance with the Strategic Rail Authoritys recent announcement. Also, our strengthened team will enable us better to focus on new and wide ranging potential development opportunities in many parts of the world.
