This statement relates to a document on the SRA web site: Consultation: Capacity Utilisation Policy (Adobe Acrobat)

"Following last weeks announcement on the upgrade of the West Coast Main Line, this consultation again shows that we are getting to grips with the changes the public want us to make on the railways. For the very first time, we will have a coherent nationwide strategy for managing space on our increasingly busy rail network. The public expects to see year on year improvements and that is what we are determined to deliver."
