Rail industry ‘deeply sorry’ for disruption _______________________________________________________________
 type Press release
Commenting on disruption to services caused by overrunning improvement works in London on 27 December, Michael Roberts, director general of the Rail Delivery Group, which represents Network Rail and operators, said:
"Many passengers didn't get the service they deserved from the railway on Saturday and for that we are deeply sorry. Now that the vast majority of services are back up and running, the industry is working together to get a thorough understanding of what went wrong and how we need to improve in the future."
