Urban Partners launch Wellbeing Walk

HS1 Ltd, through its membership of Urban Partners – a partnership of business from across the King’s Cross/St Pancras area – was delighted to be a part of the launch of the Wellbeing Walk on Monday 6th July 2015. 

Urban Partners has launched the Wellbeing Walk, a new route that links HS1’s St Pancras International to another of London’s busiest railway stations, Euston, to provide pedestrians with a less polluted and congested journey between the two stations and to promote better access to the diverse and independent shops along the way. 

London’s first station-to-station Wellbeing Walk will go via Eversholt Street, Phoenix Road and Brill Place, encouraging pedestrians to avoid the significant pollution that has been registered along the Euston Road. Air quality monitoring has shown Urban Partners’ alternative journey exposes pedestrians to up to 65 per cent less pollution, as well as showcasing a host of local businesses. 

HS1 Ltd and Urban Partners are working with both businesses and residents along the route to encourage improvements to the environment and ensure the best possible experience for pedestrians.
