Hearing aid users can enjoy clearer station announcements at Warren Street Station with the trial of a wall-mounted induction loop.

The loop, which cuts out background noise, is being trialled on the southbound Victoria line platform. Passengers can switch their hearing aid to the ‘T’ position to hear public announcements without disturbance.

Users are invited to give their comments on the effectiveness of the loop by contacting London Transport’s Unit for Disabled Passengers. Induction loops are already successfully used at most Underground ticket office windows.

The loop was designed, built and installed by Annalex Limited, and the trial is expected to last six months.
