The Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC) has today announced the appointment of Dr Elizabeth Haywood to the post of Director of Public Communications.
Dr Haywood will start at ATOC on 1 February 2000. She will lead the communications team in managing a programme that will build upon the Association's strong relationships with its members, the media and the public.

She was responsible for CBI Wales policy development and building CBI's media and public profile in Wales. Prior to this, she was European Affairs Manager for the Welsh Development Agency, where she developed relations with other key European regions and advised on the legal, political and economic impact of EU programmes.
