Anglia Railways has announced that their London Crosslink train services between East Anglia and Basingstoke have been restored from yesterday (14 September). The services were temporarily suspended from midday Tuesday 12 September as a precautionary measure to preserve fuel supplies.

In addition to the restoration of the Crosslink service between Colchester/Chelmsford and Basingstoke, all Norwich to London mainline services and local train services in the region are expected to operate to the normal published timetable for the foreseeable future.

There has been a considerable increase in the number of passengers travelling during the current fuel crisis, with mainline and local train services very busy. During the current situation, the Anglia Railways team is working hard to ensure the provision of a full timetable service and to cope with the increase in passenger numbers.

Timetable information is available by calling 08457 484950.
