Network Rail is carrying out extensive work to renew the track on the line between Gilberdyke and Selby on Sunday October 31, 2004. This means that, trains will be unable to stop at either Howden or Selby stations, however services will be diverted via Goole, with a connecting coach service provided to Howden and Selby.
Hull Trains will continue to run its normal scheduled timetable on Sunday, less the stops at Howden and Selby. Passengers who would normally board the train at either Howden or Selby will be taken by coach to join the train at Goole. Similarly, trains from London will be met at Goole, where passengers for Howden and Selby should alight to use the transport provided.
Hull Trains Managing Director, Mark Leving said: “Whilst it is never ideal to alter the timetable, work to renew the track is essential in the drive to improve the railway and I would like to thank passengers from Howden and Selby in advance for their understanding. We have made every effort to make their journey as seamless as possible.”
