Responding to a story about the number of cancelled services on the network, a spokesperson for the Rail Delivery Group, representing Network Rail and rail operators, said:
“Across the network, passengers are now making 600 million more punctual journeys a year than 15 years ago. While our railway has been transformed with newer trains and more reliable services, our aim is to continue to make it even better for passengers.”
