Transport for Greater Manchester is the delivery arm of the Transport for Greater Manchester Committee, which is part of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

TfGM plans local transport and owns Metrolink infrastructure, but delegates operation of the trams and depots to a concession-holder. It also owns bus stations, shelters and stops, and subsidises socially necessary but unprofitable bus services.
