about

::: Rail Live falls victim to coronavirus

Q. How much can I see without subscribing?
A. You can browse the whole site and search each section, but downloads will not be possible and most information will be limited.

Q. How do I log on?
Click on any 'log on' link. This link appears in the top menu, and also as a large icon on the left of main pages, such as this one. When you are logged on, these links change to read 'log off' instead.

Q. Why do you have several levels of subscription?
A. If you mainly require access to our basic industry information and directory, we think you should be charged less than someone who wants to see Railhub information in depth and download images.

Q. Where does your information come from?
A. Press releases and other public domain material, Parliamentary transactions (both Hansard and Committee Reports), the National Audit Office, the Office of Rail Regulation, the former Strategic Rail Authority and Office of Passenger Rail Franchising, train operators, Network Rail, the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB), government departments and hundreds of industry contacts, to name just some.

Q. May I cancel my subscription and get a refund?
A. Railhub subscriptions last for 12 months or another specified period and are not cancellable. If you are not sure whether we can help you, we suggest that you first browse the site as a Visitor or Guest (no charge). Then you could try a Reference subscription, which is the lowest level. We will happily arrange an upgrade when you need one. You are also most welcome to contact us to discuss your requirements.

Q. What are your rules on images?
A. You need a Full, Premium or Industry subscription (special contracts only) to download images. You may reproduce Railhub images in any format, but if you wish to use them in a book, magazine or newspaper, you must have a Premium subscription. A Full subscription covers reproduction in other printed formats (such as leaflets) and all digital ones, such as websites. Only current subscribers are licensed to use Railhub images. If your subscription lapses, you must remove any Railhub images from your website or digital presentations immediately. You may continue to distribute existing hard copy material, but you must not reprint it. For more details, please see our Terms of Use.

Q. How do I pay for a subscription?
A. You may pay online, or if you prefer you can pay by BACS or cheque. If you need payment details, please let us know so that we can raise an invoice.

Q. Do you charge VAT?
A. We are registered for Value Added Tax, which is added to all charges at the applicable rate. VAT Registration No. GB 946841488.

Q. Do you charge for directory entries?
A. No. All entries are included at the discretion of the editor, but there is never any charge for the listing. You can arrange to include your logo or an advertisement at attractive rates.

Q. How can I ask another question?
A. Please email your query, or call 07950 533703.
