  Railtrack plc appoints two new directors

Nick Josephy (44) and Nick Pollard (38) have been appointed Zone Directors at Railtrack Great Western and Railtrack London North Eastern Zones respectively.
Mr Josephy was previously at the P&O Group where he worked since joining as a management trainee in 1976, rising to Managing Director P&O Tankerships Ltd. Married with two children, Mr Josephy takes up his new appointment in Swindon on 11 September 1997. He succeeds Martin Reynolds who is now Director, Project Delivery.
Nick Pollard takes up his new role on 4 August at Railtrack's York office. He joins from MP Burke PLC, part of Southern Electric where he was Operations Director. He succeeds Richard Middleton who became Commercial Director earlier this year.
Welcoming the new appointments, John Edmonds, Chief Executive said: "These latest appointments confirm Railtrack's commitment to delivering a railway for the 21st century. Their combined experience will ensure continued focus on customer care - while the vacancies created by internal promotion are an indication of the high value Railtrack places on its own employees and the contribution they can make to the success of the company."
