Ipswich-based Anglia Railways has strengthened its senior management team by appointing three new directors to key positions within the company, and with the appointment of a new Public Relations Manager. The new appointments are:
Liz Mullen, Sales & Marketing Director
A graduate of Glasgow and Strathclyde universities, Liz joins Anglia Railways from Scotrail where she was Head of Marketing for Scotrail’s daytime and overnight Caledonian Sleeper services. Liz is responsible for all sales and marketing activity across the company.
Mark Pickersgill, Operations Director
Mark was previously Anglia’s Fleet & Engineering Manager. He joined the company in 1994, and will now lead strategy in key areas such as performance, service delivery, operations and fleet development. Mark is currently in his second year of study towards an MBA with Durham University.
Jonathan Denby, Corporate Affairs Director
Jonathan was previously Anglia’s Business Manager for Planning & Corporate Affairs. In his new role, Jonathan is responsible for leading the company’s public relations strategy, service development opportunities and franchise compliance issues with the Strategic Rail Authority. Jonathan has worked in the rail industry since 1990. He has a Bsc in transport management and planning (Loughborough Univ) and a Masters in Business Administration (Univ of East Anglia).
Liz, Mark and Jonathan join Anglia’s existing Directors’ team of Tim Clarke Managing Director, John Smith Deputy Managing Director, Stephen Taylor Human Resources Director and Richard Drake Financial Director.
Peter Meades, Public Relations Manager
Peter was formerly Anglia’s Communications Manager and will now lead the company’s day-to-day media relations, links with the Rail Passenger’s Committee and other stakeholders, and internal communications. Peter joined Anglia Railways in 1994 and has worked in the rail industry for over 20 years. He comes from Lowestoft, Suffolk and is a former pupil of the town’s Denes High School.
